Milwaukee obtains RHP Weathers from Reds
SAN FRANCISCO—The Milwaukee Brewers have acquired Cincinnati right-hander David Weathers for a player to be named later.
Weathers is 3-3 with a 3.32 ERA in 43 games. He pitched one inning and got the win in Friday's 10-5 comeback win over the San Francisco Giants.
The 39-year-old reliever starts his second stint with Milwaukee. He previously pitched for the Brewers from 1998-2001.

no small part that is. And another thing Mr. Melvin, perhaps spend more time on getting an actual major league pitching rotation in place before next season and less time figuring out ways to jack up ticket and drink prices because you made the playoffs for the first time in 3 decades.

bigfatdaddytuna: Do you think Eric Gagne is still available? He'd go great with Crim & Henry. And to think it would only cost about $20M to get them.

If he is soooo good, why did we get rid of him in the first place. Another example of incompetence.

Relievers don't do much good if we don't have good starters.
