MANITOWOC — A body has been recovered from Silver Lake in Manitowoc County.

Deputy Inspector Todd Hermann, of the county sheriff's department, says personnel began searching the lake just west of Manitowoc after receiving a call of a family disturbance around 11:15 a.m. Saturday.

He says the 911 call referenced an on-shore dispute between the person in the water and the person's parents. It was not immediately clear who placed the call.

An empty 10-foot boat that had apparently been operated by the victim was recovered around noon.

The body was pulled from the lake around 3:30 p.m. Officials have not identified the victim.
