Evansville receives $4 million in stimulus for wastewater plant
EVANSVILLE--Evansville officials found out today the city will receive more than $4 million in federal stimulus money for its wastewater treatment facility upgrades.
About $103 million in American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds for clean water infrastructure projects throughout the state, were announced today, including $4,077,740 for Evansville.
The Evansville City Council will vote on awarding the bid for the $7.2 million upgrades at its Tuesday meeting, City Administrator Dan Wietecha said.

Metro,, don't give them any ideas.. I am sure the mayor is drooling at the the thought of this money and will proceed with more wasteful spending. I don't believe the city has ever faced such a budget crisis in the city's history, and a lot of it has to do with her, and liking the 'pretty' things she can not pay for.
