MILWAUKEE (AP) — The Milwaukee Brewers sold their 2 millionth ticket on Tuesday.

That's the earliest the franchise reached the milestone since April 19, 2001. Last season, the Brewers drew over 3 million fans but didn't reach 2 million sold until April 24.

Brewers vice president Rick Schlesinger says ticket sales have been encouraging after last season's playoff run. He recommends fans plan ahead for games they want to see this summer.

At the home opener on April 10 against the Cubs, the Brewers drew 45,455 fans — the second largest crowd for a game in Miller Park.

Hey thanks kid for the info! I'll keep that in mind, I really would like to go to a couple games this year, even if they are not doing great. I'm a die hard fan!!

i was at the first two games against the cubs this year. and it was SUPER AWESOME to see that a large majority were brewer fans. in the past years ive seen 4 or 5 to 1 cubs fan to brewers fan. that series was 10 to 1 brewers fan to cubs fan. oddly enough the collective intelligence was also WAY higher;)

fire macha. bring back sveum.

nellie for all non marquee games you can go to window 12 an hour and half before the game and buy what they call 'uecker tickets'. they sell 200 of them and they only cost A DOLLAR. not the best seats of course but the way theyre playin therell be open seats for you to move in.

Even if Cubs fans bought every ticket to every Brewers/Cubs game at Miller park, that would only be about 500,000 tickets :)

Ticket prices really havent gone up. If you want to go, the sell standing room tickets and the upper level is really cheap. They offer games that have $1 hotdogs/small sodas. You can go to a game and not spend a fortune. I went to brewer/cub game with my wife and tix/parking/food/beer. We did it all under 60 dollars. Plan ahead and you can go to a brewer game mildly cheap.

I wish I could afford to go!! The ticket prices have gone way up and in this economy I can't afford it. Good thing I can watch them on tv.

Don't worry folks, the Brew Crew keeps up its lose 2, win 1 trend for another month or so and there will be plenty of those 2 million tickets being sold for 1/2 their value in the parking lot at Miller Park, of course the Brewers will have already made there money. Perhaps they can invest it in another Suppan-esque signing the next off season.
