RACINE, Wis. (AP) — The former Racine mayor caught in an Internet sex sting has asked to get counseling in Brookfield, the suburb where he was arrested and accused of trying to hook up with a young girl.

Fifty-one-year-old Gary Becker is scheduled to be released from a sex addiction treatment program in Chester, Pa., on Saturday. One of the conditions of Becker's release from jail is that he return to, and stay in Racine County.

His attorney, Patrick Cafferty, has asked a Racine County judge to allow Becker to see a therapist and attend 12-step meetings in Brookfield.

Judge Stephen Simanek says he has a number of concerns about allowing Becker to return to the location of the alleged offense.

There are probably only a handful of centers working at this level in the US. Still, if I were Brookfield I wouldn't be happy about him coming back.
