MADISON, Wis. (AP) Wisconsin Gov. Jim Doyle and German officials say they will work together to reduce the causes of global warming.

Doyle's office issued the statement on Tuesday. The governor is in Berlin attending a conference on trans-Atlantic climate and energy cooperation.

The statement says that both Doyle and German officials agree that climate change and fossil fuel dependence require immediate action. They say low-carbon technology and the reduction of greenhouse gasses must be pursued.

Doyle says he looks forward to strengthening Wisconsin and Germany's combined efforts to confront climate change and energy policies.

In May, Doyle signed a memorandum of understanding with the United Kingdom on how to better address climate change issues.

I guess I'm a moron then. Global warming is bunk. I believe the average temp. has gone up a degree or so since they started keeping a record around 100 years ago. Yep, global warming is definitely happening. This has been one of the coolest summers I've experienced in quite a while. Went to the beach around 6 times this summer. How many scorching days did we have anyways? I'm ready to turn my heat on, speaking of which, I turned on a couple days in June!!

20,000 scientists, of whom about 2,700 of them are physicists, geophysicists, climatologists, meteorologists, oceanographers or environmental scientists, who are in a position to understand the global warming issues, have signed the following statement:

There is no convincing scientific evidence that human release of carbon dioxide, methane, or other greenhouse gasses is causing or will, in the foreseeable future, cause catastrophic heating of the Earth’s atmosphere and disruption of the Earth’s climate. Moreover, there is substantial scientific evidence that increases in atmospheric carbon dioxide produce many beneficial effects upon the natural plant and animal environments of the Earth. see Oregon Petition Project, http://www.oism.org/pproject/s33p37.htm

The anti-Global Warming folks are fools. They are the same morons that agreed with George Bush when he said our economy was in good shape.

Oh my, janesvillean is right, shame shame Pwrtrip. How do you suppose we got into this mess in the first place? By riding a Pwrtrip. It's simple, reduce your carbon demands and you'll reduce the carbon-driven supply. Do it for your kids sake. If you don't think it's real, then pinch yourself and wake up......

Well, sure, if people like you keep pretending nothing needs to be done or can be done, nothing will get done. Congratulations!
