First flooded homes to be demolished
From the WCLO newsroom:
The City of Janesville is giving the go-ahead for demolition of three residential properties affected by this summer's flooding.
Neighborhood Development Specialist Kelly Lee says the homes affected are next to the landlord, Adams Roofing, on North Main Street. The foundation collapsed on one of the properties while there was an oil tank inside the basement. Lee says that came to light in the first few days of flooding. Like other flooded properties, these sat under water for several weeks.
Lee says Adams Roofing attended the city's buyout grant meeting, but chose to demolish the homes so they could retain their lots instead of selling them to the city.

Welfare for Wall Street is a categorized as a bail-out and the funds are needed immediately.
Money for helping homeowners get on with their lives is unavailable. New Orleans homeowners are still waiting to get on with their lives.
I hope for the best in Jainesville.
