MADISON, Wis. (AP) Former Senate Majority Leader Chuck Chvala will be allowed to practice law again in Wisconsin.

The state Supreme Court has reinstated the law license of the Madison Democrat whose political career was ended by a scandal in which several lawmakers of both parties were convicted of misconduct.

The court had suspended Chvala's license for two years after he pleaded guilty to felony misconduct in office and a campaign finance violation.

Chvala applied for reinstatement earlier this year after he completed the terms of his sentence. State regulators supported his reinstatement.

Chvala has recently worked in commercial real estate and as a political commentator for a Madison television station.

Chvala was the corrupt legislator, who, with the complicity of Fred Risser, blocked the Personal Protection Act in the Wis. Senate Committee in 2002, preventing it from being voted on and likely passed.
.
If he EVER makes a single penny as a lawyer I hope he is sued by the relatives of someone who's live could have been saved by the passage and signing of the PPA.

To practice law again he has to have a sponsor.
Does anyone beside me see there is some questionable goings-on when his own daughter, a real estate agent, is allowed to be his sponsor?

I know he'll find work, but I have to wonder who would ever want this shady fellow as their attorney.
