Federal and state authorities say Wisconsin residents and business owners who want to register for help for flood damage better do it soon.

Wisconsin Emergency Management Administrator Johnnie Smith says residents in 30 counties affected have to apply by 11 p.m. Sept. 15 for damages or losses caused by June and July storms and flooding.

Residents in Rock, Walworth, Green and Jefferson counties are among those eligible for governmental help.

Registration can be done at www.fema.gov or by calling 1-800-621-3362.
