MILWAUKEE (AP) — Milwaukee police say a father and his daughter are suspected of robbing several banks in southeastern Wisconsin. And, the daughter tried to collect some reward money by turning in her father. Authorities say the 46-year-old father robbed a bank in Greendale while his 28-year-old daughter drove the getaway car. Investigators think the two are linked to other robberies in Brookfield and Milwaukee. The two are in custody Wednesday.

localboysince1968,

I went to both parochial school and public school. There were more fights per day in parochial school. And going to a public high school and public college didn't seem to turn me into a criminal. I've got a good job that pays well and was able to get out of Janesville with my public education.

You gotta love bank robbers. They put forth all this effort and risk for a measly $3,000 - $5,000. A heist that involves hitting the vault is the only way it is worth the risk. It just shows you how big of a low-life you have to be to do an average bank robbery this day in age.

I dont think making drugs legal is going to solve any problems. The last thing we need is more people hopped up on who-knows-what out in public. People do crazy stuff while on drugs. Ah, thanks but no thanks.

Why does every single little bad news story turn into a pro-drug vs. anti-drug debate (or a variation of that) in the comments section?

Well, as I see it, this papa must have home schooled his young tot, and showed her just the basics....and then when she got old enough to drive the schooling stopped and the earn your keep began. And as far as LEGALIZING DRUGS will prevent this....ummmmm....it is legal to live on your own as an adult, and some of those adults don't work and ROB BANKS to pay their rent. So, ummmmmmm, legalizing drugs isn't going to stop drug crime, it will probably increase it as it won't be taboo to do drugs and there will be more addicts.

Guess what "localboysince1968"? I remember going to church for Ash Wednesday (25+ yrs ago)....guess who was sorting her seeds from her pot? Yep, you guessed it, the girl who spent the first 8 yrs of school in parochial school. Not the rest of us "public" school kids.

I guess I found my new career since the public schools didn't teach me anything but how to rob banks!

Legalize drugs? Ok now how are they going to pay for legal drugs? Legalizing it wouldn't have prevented this crime.

"Drugs" is a pretty broad statement. It is a good thing that most are illegal. There is only one illegal drug that needs to have it's status questioned.

Apparently both are drug addicts. That might mess up your ability to reach a rational cost-benefit conclusion.

Okay, so did she never consider that -maybe- turning in her father might make him tell them that she was his accomplice? The idiocy of some criminals is truly hilarious.
