Brodhead company announces layoffs
From the WCLO newsroom:
The Department of Workforce Development says Woodbridge Group in Brodhead filed notice Tuesday of a mass layoff.
Company officials estimate 70 workers will be affected. The DWD and Southwest Wisconsin Workforce Development Board have formed a Rapid Response team to handle this and other layoffs. The team is currently working with Woodbridge to arrange orientation sessions for the affected workers.

And where are all those grumpy Gm Hating know it alls now? Nope, Gm closing ain't gonna effect my home town....nope not at all. Guess you all were wrong huh??? Not only is it effecting Rock County, it has now crept into Green County and will continue to spread like the plague. I am so sorry people.

Woodbridge Corp makes the foam seats that Lear covers. They provide seats to GM, Ford, Mitsubishi. They are actually a worldwide business with the corporate office in Canada. The Brodhead plant was the first US plant they purchased. Prior to that the plant was known as Janesville Products. The local plant in Brodhead recently began also manufacturing Lifetime Lumber which is a composite wood.
