Wind advisory in effect today

By ASSOCIATED PRESS Sunday, October 26, 2008 - 9:53 a.m.

A wind advisory is in effect from 10 a.m. today until 1 a.m Monday. West winds will be increasing throughout the day to 20 to 30 mph with gusts of about 45 mph.

Forecasters predict it will be sunny in the morning, then turning partly sunny with a slight chance of light rain and snow showers in the afternoon.

Temperatures will start out in the lower 50s and then fall to the 40s before turning colder tonight. Lows tonight are expected in the upper 20s.

yuk! I hate winter, and I know it's coming soon!! If it weren't for my husband who loves wi I would be down south like the ducks!!! I love him more though so I guess I just have to tough it out! I'll stock up on more winter gear.

It was great outside. I love the wind. Mowed my grass, keep it short and the leaves blow right off. The kids got lots of fresh air and will sleep well tonight. Mother nature is blowing the leaves off of the trees. Happy Halloween. Buuwhaahhhaaa

I was on the interstate heading north from Ill and the wind was whipping so hard that corn husks were all over the place. I had to hang on the steering wheel tightly. What a ride!
