Eau Claire area man bags 23-point buck
EAU CLAIRE--A bow hunter from the Eau Claire area says his trip to Minnesota paid off when he bagged a deer of a lifetime — a 23-point buck.
Ben Spanjers said he has bow hunted for 20 years before bagging the deer that had become known as the "Hokah Legend."
He shot the animal on his father-in-law's land in Hokah, Minn., just south of La Crescent and across the Mississippi River from La Crosse.
Spanjers said the best part of the experience has been sharing the memory with his friends and family.

Well done Mr. Spanjers, I can't imagine what you're blood pressure was at when that buck walked into range.
Imagine a record class whitetail, in bow range, at full draw, and hold it for a minute and aim.
Nicely done Mr. Spanjers.
