From the WCLO newsroom:

The Janesville School Board decides to entertain proposals from search firms for its superintendent search.

The district will request proposals from a list of search firms Friday. The school board plans to gather input from the Studer consulting group and the community, including three listening sessions at the city's middle schools.

Commissioner Deb Kolste favors a small-group format for the listening sessions, and says she wants the district to extend invitations to different groups for the listening sessions. She says only a few people showed up for listening sessions about the high school facilities referendum.

The school board hopes to hold listening sessions before November 14.
