Guilty plea entered in murder case

ELKHORN -- A Linn Township man pleaded guilty Friday to felony charges stemming from the murder of his mother.

Jeffrey Newberg, 45, pleaded guilty in Walworth County Court to felony first-degree reckless homicide and felony hiding a corpse in the stabbing death of his mother, Alice Newberg, 70.

The first-degree intentional homicide charge was dismissed in a plea agreement.
