Obama leads McCain by 13 points in latest Wis poll
MADISON, Wis. (AP) Less than two weeks before the election, a new poll shows Barack Obama with a 13-point lead over John McCain in Wisconsin.
The Wisconsin Public Radio/St. Norbert College Survey Center telephone poll was conducted between Oct. 9 and Friday. It is the fifth poll this month to show Obama with a double-digit lead in Wisconsin.
The Republican National Committee has pulled money from TV ads for McCain in the state, and the McCain campaign is cutting its ads.
The poll of 400 people showed Obama with 51 percent compared with 38 percent for McCain. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 5 percentage points.
Sixty-one percent say the economy is the most important issue in the election and 55 percent say Obama is better suited to handle it.

How paranoid can some of you be? Good grief, the sky won't fall, the earth will not swallow us up, we won't have a World war III. We're all spoiled with the wealth of the past 30 years.
Frugality was something ingrained into my upbringing. I did NOT buy my children the latest name brand fashions, yet they were well dressed. I've worked all my life, I understand the value of the dollar.
I just can't justify another 4 years of the crap we've been dished during the last 8 years.
I don't hold much stock in polls, November 4th will be here soon enough.

I have a few Russian friends from my chess playing days that I still remain in contact with. Trust me when I say Russia is going to present MANY foreign policy problems in the very near future. This country is a total dictatorship that is run by Putin (even though he is no longer "officially" the head of state. Dimitry Medvedev is simply a figure head who's strings are pulled by Putin). Putin is ex KGB and straight out of the old Stalin school. These guys are not stupid. They are just bidding their time to make their move. Some of the stories I am told about what is going on in that country would blow your mind.

Obama is not for gun rights...remember his "clinging to religion and guns" comment. And yes you are right, other countries like Iran, North Korea and Russia are licking their lips at the thought of Obama as President. They play Chess with patience while we will be playing checkers.

The real fun part will be trading the markets when Obama wins. Us short sellers have all ready cleaned up the past month. You think things can't go down further, that we have reached a bottom? HAHAHAH...Just wait! This is going to be one huge party, when things REALLY crash under the Obama regime!

Minan you did not mention Putin, and the Kremlin busting down borders to instate the former USSR. I give them less than one year under Obama, and Russia will do what they please. Right now they have not because they know there is a Iron fist at the wheel.

It's hilarious watching the McCain campaign completely implode and along with it the Republican caucus in Congress. This election is going to be so darned fun, doggone it, I think I could eat a moose.

Wake up Wisconsin! As a state that hunts and shoots you should beware of Obama and Eastern liberal friends designs on taking away your Second Amendment rights. Barack Obama and his surrogates continue to lie about his record, and continue to make the ridiculous claim that he "supports the Second Amendment." The Obama campaign is even trotting out the endorsement of the anti-gun "American Hunters and Shooters Association" in an attempt to camouflage his real record. But don't be fooled, AHSA is just another anti-gun group pretending to be pro-gun. We need to make sure that Obama's campaign rhetoric is not allowed to substitute for his long record of opposition to gun owners' rights!
Know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.

Under Obama you will see enough conceding so just hold on. You will concede your money, your freedoms, and America's Super power Status. Just watch the world leaders will see America as weak so they will run wild. Putin will form the old USSR, Kim will attack south Korea, China will take Taiwan, Iran will attack the Jews followed by all Arabs taking pop shots. America will be found nowhere. You think you see tough economic time now wait till these things happen.

Presidential races usually tighten before election day. Actually, early exit polling was to blame in 2004. The networks won't make that mistake this time. One more reason to vote early.

Do you remember the polls in 2000 where they had Gore lead Bush by a huge margin days before the election that all the news networks claimed a early night. I remember when Dan Rathers jaw dropped, and Bush was pulling in the states that the polls claimed were Gores.
The same thing in 2004 Kerry was suppose to have this larger lead in the Polls, and who won again.
Two times in recent history is proof polls mean very little.

Sen. John McCain’s campaign and the Republican Party have both shifted funds away from Wisconsin. They both feel the money is better spent in other, more competitive or important, states. The reason for this is simple: Over the course of the campaign to this point, Sen. McCain has been loosing ground here. So much ground has now been lost that winning Wisconsin would cost too much time, money and effort. Other states would be neglected if the McCain campaign tried to win here. At this point, they are cutting their losses and moving on to Pennsylvania. Although Pennsylvania is nearly as out of reach as Wisconsin to McCain, it represents an easier, larger target.
History will judge if this is an act of simple desperation or a brilliant tactical shift. I tend to think it is pretty much his only play at this point. There is now no way Sen. McCain has the time, money and effort left to flip Iowa, Wisconsin, Colorado, New Hampshire and Maine. Sen. McCain’s gamble is that he can flip Pennsylvania and Virginia which are both currently in Sen. Obama’s cache. Sen. McCain will still need to carry Nevada, Missouri, Indiana, Ohio and Florida which are all toss ups at this point.
For those of you who don’t trust the polls, that’s fine. It’s good to be skeptical. Always question what people tell you. In life, as in politics, it’s wisest to judge people by their actions and not their words. It’s clear from their actions that the RNC and Sen. McCain’s campaign trust the polls. Sen. McCain is behind and he knows it. His campaign is taking a desperate action to try and win. But, the odds are very, very long at this point.

Personally I am sick of polls. I have never been involved in a poll nor has my family members..Oh yeah, we are to busy working to be at home to answer the phone. Polls have a negative impact on the vote...how many people will not go vote because the polls say its a done deal. Polls are not news, and should not be plastered all over the TV and Newspapers..jmo
