Investigators looking for armed robbery suspects
RICHMOND TOWNSHIP -- Two gunmen robbed a bar in Richmond Township early Monday morning.
Walworth County Sheriff’s Capt. Dana Nigbor said in a news release that the men entered Real McCoy’s bar on County A at 1:42 a.m.
One man had a handgun, she said, and the other man had a long gun, possibly a rifle.
The men took an undisclosed amount of money from video poker machines and the cash register, Nigbor said.
The bartender and a woman also were robbed, she said.
The suspects fled in a vehicle, Nigbor said.
One man was described as white, about 5-foot-10, with a medium build.
The other man was described as Latino, about 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-8, with a medium build.
They were described as wearing dark-colored ski masks.
Anyone with information can call the sheriff’s office at (262) 741-4400.

My dad used to go to that bar all the time. It's actually along a route that I commonly travel... that's kind of crazy. I could see why it would be an easy target, though. If, Spark, you are trying to make a connection with Latinos.... please be careful in your assumptions. Do not let prejudices and wishful thinking get in the way of your analytical reasoning. Why don't you make a connection between this and the two white guys who were charged with armed robbery within Janesville? Could they not all be known associates?

But as the economy goes down, tax revenue also goes down to communities are crying for more police, but there is no money to pay for them. But when times are good they hire more police when crime is down...seems illogical to me.

Its been expected that as the economy gets flushed down the toilet, desperate measures will be needed to amp up the police coverage of these rural areas. The criminals know where the police do not patrol. Pretty easy pickins' for the scum to grab some quick cash...
Sad really...

What Jakaio means, I believe about "not being reported", is the crime not being reported by the media.
I have to look at the website weekly and see many arrests that aren't reported. Not that the newspapers could hold them all...

Uhhh....if it's in the Public Record section, it's been reported.

That doesn't mean much considering all of those things were unrelated. Take a look at all of the crime for southern Wisconsin. This area isn't as peaceful as some people want to think it is. There's a lot crime, and a lot of things many of you would consider immoral, all happening under the radar of local media (or just not reported; look over the Public Record section of the site sometime).

First the marijuana field, then the Johnstown Community Center gets broken into and now this. These are relatively within the same area.
Hmmmmmm....
