Beloit man convicted on child abuse charge
From the WCLO newsroom:
A Beloit man is convicted on child abuse charges.
The Rock County District Attorney says a jury found 24-year-old Jason Jordon guilty of giving his five-month-old nephew multiple skull fractures. Jordon's brother testified he left the infant in Jordon's care in June. When he returned from taking his wife to work he discovered the baby's injuries. Jordon admitted to police he was the only person who cared for the infant while his brother was gone, but claimed the injuries happened when his brother accidentally dropped the baby on pavement.
A pediatrician testified at the two-day trial that the infant's fractures could not have occurred the way Jordon described and would have required significantly more force to cause a skull fracture in a five-month-old.
Jordon faces a fine of up to $25,000 and up to ten years in prison.

I think that the punishment should be :
1. Whatever was done to the child, should be done to the abuser.
2. Fines (what good does that do like they will pay them).
3. Prison
4. When they get out, a reminder to them what they did to the child (repeat #1).

This is just sick! What did that poor child do to deserve such horrible treatment? There are special places in hell for people like him.
.
I would give onelife2live a medal and put up money for his defense.

The system as to the abuse of defenseless babies needs to be revamped and give these sick individuals life!!! Assault a peace off. or adult like that and the punishment seems much more severe. Then again this innocent child due to age cant tell the pain he went thru like an adult victim can. Lock him up with bubba

The child has recovered completely from his injuries & will have no problems from the injury. That is what was testified at the trial (I know someone who was there).

Mr. onelife2live, the shame in your statement is you would be the one prosecuted instead of being given a medal.

I hope the child is recovering. At that age there is remarkable ability to overcome injury simply because the body and brain are still growing rapidly.

Another tragic story. The brother put his faith in his family to make sure his baby was taken care of while he was working to provide for his family and this happens.
