Kohler lays off 50
SHEBOYGAN — Kohler Co. permanently laid off 50 local workers Tuesday due to the slumping economy.
Kohler spokesman Todd Weber said 38 administrators and 12 production workers were notified Tuesday and let go immediately.
Kohler employs about 7,500 people in Sheboygan County. Weber said the layoffs were because of the "overall weakened economy, fueled by the housing slump."
United Auto Workers Union Local 833 president Pete Behrensprung said the union was aware layoffs were in the works. Behrensprung said this is Kohler’s largest cut since laying off 160 permanent and about 30 temporary workers July 2007.

Sounds like an interesting report, since you've used the plumber one as an opening line on a half-dozen or so stories, perhaps you could start off with that one (with a link perhaps?). How does something "names" the Federal Retirement Program funnel wealth from the wealthy to the poor? You haven't really explained the program, simply claimed that it exists and that it's purpose is redistribute wealth.

This other new report was from speaker of the house Nancy Pelosi on how to deal with the failing Social Security program. Nancy states that a bill is forming that will funnel 401k, and SS benefits into one which will be names the federal retirement program. Another plan to spread the wealth. Take from those that worked hard, and saved. Then give to the unwilling to work, and save.

polert,
You really need something to talk about besides this "report" that you "seen" that makes you fear Obama so. Obama's tax plan would "redistribute wealth" to a laughably small degree. The wealthy will still remain wealthy, the poor will still remain poor. The only thing that will change is that those who have benefited so much from the U.S. economy, tax code, military protection, etc. will have to pay a small percentage more of their income to help support the United States.

Too bad your boy's going down, Polert. This desperation is entertaining, though.

I would like to tell you that things well get better but after what I seen in a report from a meet/greet in Ohio with Obama where a Plumber/Owner operator ask Obama why Obama wanted to raise his taxes. Obama replied I want to spread the wealth. Which means take from the hard working, and give to those unwilling to work. Check it out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RuSMS17sh...

Construction is way down, so anything in building supplies is going to be hurting.
.
I hope we don't have bread lines, but I do fear we will have unemployment as bad as most people have ever seen before this is over.
