MADISON, Wis. (AP) A Dane County prosecutor says a man allegedly involved in a fatal shooting has confessed.

A criminal complaint charges that 19-year-olds Amir Furlow and Promethius Brown went to Marcus Hamilton's apartment to rob him and that Furlow shot the 30-year-old when Furlow thought he was reaching for a weapon June 29.

Furlow has been ordered to stand trial on charges of first-degree intentional homicide, felony murder and armed robbery.

Brown was arrested Sept. 24 in Chicago. Assistant District Attorney Mike Verveer says he has confessed his involvement. Authorities say at least three of Hamilton's children were at home at the time.

Assistant Public Defender Svetlana Taylor says Brown was not fleeing Madison but going home to Chicago, where he has two small children.
