MARSHFIELD, Wis. (AP) Gov. Jim Doyle has unveiled an initiative he says will make Wisconsin a worldwide leader in personalized health care.

Doyle on Friday announced the formation of the Wisconsin Medical Research Triangle, one that might rival a similar research park in North Carolina.

The three points of the triangle are universities in Madison and Milwaukee and a clinic in Marshfield.

The triangle's first project will be the Wisconsin Genomics Initiative, an effort to learn more about human DNA. Doyle says doctors could eventually use that information to predict who's at risk of certain diseases and design treatments based on their unique DNA codes.

Doyle says the initiative also will produce jobs and attract federal research dollars.

I think so too. Maybe head of our potential "free" health care for all?

I don't see any obvious campaign contributions for Doyle out of this initiative. I wonder if he's slicking himself up for a particular political appointment from President Obama?
