JANESVILLE--The Janesville Police Department asks residents to avoid the area of Kennedy Road and Barberry Drive while they respond to a suspect barricaded in an apartment, Deputy Chief Dave Moore said.

Police responded to the call at 3:15 p.m. in the 2900 block of Kennedy Road on Janesville's north side.

No other information is available at this time, Moore said.

Thank you much JPD....I live near there... I appreciate all that you do....Looks like our officers are out there again getting the job done...And no posts from those claim JPD is just out to harass the youth and "capture felines"

That's on my direct route home from work. I'll know if the suspect is still barricaded at 6:00 P.M. I hope it's peacefully resolved - that this is a "Cry for Help", rather than a "Suicide by Cop" situation.
