MADISON, Wis. (AP) Gov. Jim Doyle has been contacted by President-elect Barack Obama's transition team.

Doyle's spokesman Lee Sensenbrenner said Friday that Doyle was contacted recently by Obama's team, but Sensenbrenner didn't provide further details.

Sensenbrenner says Doyle was out of Wisconsin Friday on a trip unrelated to state business. He says it was planned before the election and doesn't think the governor is meeting with Obama.

Obama's transition team spokeswoman Stephanie Cutter says they are not confirming or denying any reports about contacts they are making with people.

Doyle has not ruled out taking a position with Obama, but has also said he is not seeking one.

Doyle is a clown. He has made this State a tax hell. All these programs he has funded and he keeps raiding "fees" and robbing from the transportation fund.

Barbra Lawton is the Sarah Palin of Wisconsin? WHAT? She's a complete lefty who is a nut case. I would like to see Scott Walker take back Wisconsin in 2010. He would be good for Wisconsin. Doyle has us in a 5 billion dollar deficit. Taxes are going to go up since that's all democrats know how to do.

Doyle-New Director of Wasteful Spending. Job description: Raid money from other funds to balance the budget, but then not actually use the money for that and instead raise taxes, but then not balance the budget that way either. Because you raided the other funds things like road construction don't have any money so you have to raise taxes to pay for that.

It’s a lose-lose proposition for Wisconsin tax payers no mater what happens. If Doyle stays he continues on his failed policies. If he leaves we get Lawton and we still have Doyle, only now at the Fed level.

jakiao-and that's what I will never understand. Why the majority did vote for him. Although, if it wasn't for Madison in itself, he wouldn't have won.

To everyone here who wants to Doyle to leave: Don't forget that a majority of Wisconsinites voted for him to be in office. Your views do not reflect the majority of Wisconsinites.
