Company campaigns help United Way

Company campaigns help boost the United Way of North Rock County annual fund drive.

The United Way campaign has topped $550,000, or 41% of this year's $1.35 million goal. Since the campaign kicked off in mid September, employee workplace campaigns have gotten underway in more than 200 companies. Workplace campaigns make up nearly 70 % of the total dollars raised during the United Way's annual campaign. Twelve of those companies report increases over last year.

Campaign co-chairs Mike O'Brien and Dave Johnson say it's gratifying to see how many people truly understand the needs of the community given the economy.
