Medical society says Wisconsin needs more doctors
WAUSAU, Wis. (AP) _ Wisconsin residents are waiting longer to see a doctor, and a physician shortage means the situation isn't likely to improve.
That's according to the Wisconsin Medical Society, which is expected to release a new report on the matter Monday.
The society says Wisconsin has 600 vacancies for doctors, including 300 for primary care doctors.

Actually, specialist fields (where the most money can be made) are often oversupplied. It's general medicine that suffers, particularly in rural areas.

doctors/medical staff is always going to be a necessity so long as there are people living in our nation... if medical facilities would quit making budget cuts, which includes cutting back on their staffing, and increasing
the cost in care, this wouldn't be an issue...
.
there is a fine line in needing to keep up on medical equiptment, but the money used to expand the a hospital where that particular administration is complaining about how many beds their facility holds in conjunction to how those same beds are filled??

I'm not surprised. Who in their right mind would want to become a doctor today in this country?

Perhaps a surgeon to add an "s" onto the word "need" in the headline.....
