From the WCLO newsroom:

After a chilly weekend, the Janesville City Council will hear a report Monday on winter weather and snow removal.

Part of the presentation includes the city's anti-icing strategies. Assistant Operations Director Mandy Bonneville says most anti-icing will take place later in the winter. Right now, pavement and ground temperatures are so warm the snow melts immediately. Bonneville says the city evaluates anti-icing on a storm-by-storm basis, looking at temperatures, type and amount of snow expected. Anti-icing typically takes place before a storm hits.
