Stevens Point officer shoots, kills man
STEVENS POINT, Wis. (AP) — A Stevens Point police officer shot and killed a man after an altercation Saturday.
Stevens Point Police Chief Jeff Morris said officers were responding to the report of a stolen vehicle when the suspect fled on foot.
Morris said another officer spotted the suspect near a high school and used his Taser twice along with chemical spray in an attempt to subdue the suspect.
Morris said the suspect and officer scuffled before the officer fired twice.
There was no identification found on the suspect and Morris would not say whether the man had a weapon when the officer fired.
The 14-year veteran of the force was placed on administrative leave pending an investigation by the Portage County Sheriff’s Department and the state Department of Criminal Investigation.

People that fight the law or think they're going to win a battle trying to fight a police officer never seem to amaze me. Let's see, I'm going to try and fight an individual that's trained and has multiple options of putting me down strapped to his/her belt. Use your head, or suffer the consequences.

Don't worry, the outrage won't take long. Remember, if you're an officer of the law you have no rights or expectation of decency. But remember, the Gazette doesn't slant stories. If you believe that then you'd be interested to know that I've also heard the moon is made of green cheese. I also expect that this comment will last about as long as my last change of socks before it's removed by staff, truth hurts though don't it.

Wow, no outrage from the Gazette becasuse the officer's name is not released? I guess it is different when the officer does not work for Walworth County.
