Rock County turnout not record-breaking
From the WCLO newsroom:
Many Rock County voters cast ballots for this election but it was not a record-setting number. Rock County Clerk Lori Stottler says 66% of eligible voters turned out in this election compared to the record 70.6% in 2004.
A few election computer glitches caused some headaches in Rock County but did not cause major delays of election results. Stottler says a connection between computers in her office to display results in the courthouse was not established in time for some poll watchers.
The City of Janesville also did not have a working modem line and those results were entered by hand after the city clerk's office phoned them in.
Three wards in the City of Beloit were the last to submit results at 12:25am.
Despite those minor delays, the county's Web site was updated regularly.
