Rockport is a great pool, expecially for kids who are stronger swimmers (it has a deep end and a shallow end). There is admission, though--something you don't need to worry about at Palmer or at Riverside. I'm glad to see that it's going to be open again this summer. It's a beautiful park, we should all thank the Friends of Riverside for their work on this!!! Thanks!

Thank you Janesvillean, I remember now. I really liked that pard when I was there, the jungle gym was nice. It has a giant teepee which my friends duaghter was just amazed with.
.
Although, I don't think I have ever been to the Rockport pool, I may have to check that out this summer.

Hey, hey, now, the city is reopening the wading pool at Riverside, but it won't be ready for a month yet.

The Moose Lodge is at the southwest corner of Crosby and Rockport. Rockport Pool is behind the lodge on the west. Follow the park road south and you get to Peace Park. It is a wonderful playground and sorely underused.

There's a great wading pool and park area down at Riverside Park. Oh wait...that's right. That's on the WEST side of Janesville so of course the city has neglected it for years and now it's unusable. We should build more backup parks and pool areas on the East Side where they belong. I think it's time we consider shutting down Rockport Pool, as well. It's such a waste sitting on THAT side of town!

It's supposed to be 80 this weekend... the water should be pretty good by Sunday. What is that other park by the mooses lodge? Is that Peace Park?
