A family of six is homeless tonight after a fire destroyed their home in Fulton Township.

Firefighters were called to 11636 N. Heritage Ridge around 1:30 p.m. and found the home engulfed in flames. Owners Scot and Lynn Eisenbraun and two of their four children were not home at the time. The remaining children, a 15-year-old and a 4-year-old, escaped safely.

Red Cross was assisting the family this afternoon.

Thank heavens the family members are safe. Although the entire house and contents were a total loss, those things can be replaced. The family of six cannot be. Kudos to the 15 and 4 yr olds for escaping safely. My thoughts and prayers to you all!!
