The towns of Milton and Fulton lifted their slow, no-wake restrictions on the Rock River today.

However, slow, no-wake restrictions will remain in effect on the river in Janesville Township and in the city of Janesville through the weekend and into next week.

Clear Lake in Milton Township also remains under a slow, no-wake order.

I am not sure how they are going to enforce it especially since the city didnt bother to post that it is NO-WAKE at the boat launches. If you are not from the area or don't monitor this stuff you wouldn't know. Pretty hard to give someone a ticket when they can claim ignorance and rightfully so!

Ya, monitor the boats, I hate to be critical, but we live in Newville and half our pier washed away during our "no-wake" period. We shook our fists at the offenders from both WI & Ill to no avail. Not their problem I guess.

I sure hope that they monitor the boats this weekend to ensure that they are following the NO-WAKE restriction. The water level is still extremely high in our area with lots of erosion already.
