Man found dead along bike trail in Racine
ROCHESTER, Wis. (AP) — The Racine County sheriff’s department is investigating the death of a man whose body was found along a bike trail. Sheriff’s Lt. Bob Zortman says fisherman along the Fox River found the body of white, middle-aged man and notified the department around 8 p.m. Friday. He says there were no obvious signs of trauma but the man apparently had been there for a while because decomposition had begun. Zortman says the body was found about 50 feet off the paved Racine County Seven Waters bicycle trail. The woodlands are located about a half-mile south of the Village of Rochester and a mile north of the Burlington city limits.

We still have unidentified bodies in this county from years ago that have never been matched with missing persons.
Sad but true.

The man could have been a transient or had no family to report him missing. Sadly, it happens every day.
