Updated winter storm forecast
From the National Weather Service:
The winter storm warning is now in effect from 3 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday.
A winter storm system is expected to produce from 6 to 10 inches of snow accumulation. The snow may be accompanied by thunder which could raise isolated totals to 12 inches. The snow accumulations will continue through much of the day Friday. This snow will likely be of the wet heavy variety, so added caution is needed when shoveling.
A winter storm warning is issued when heavy snow is expected to cause major impacts to society. Travel will be dangerous and is strongly discouraged. If you must travel, keep a winter weather supply kit in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
