Edgerton's two mayoral candidates, Erik Thompson and Matt McIntyre, discussed economic development, the possibility for a new city hall and recreational opportunities in a debate tonight at the Edgerton Public Library.

About 30 residents watched the candidates answer eight questions from moderator Casey Langan. Both highlighted projects they spearheaded as mayor and emphasized the importance of attracting more development in Edgerton.

Thompson defeated McIntyre in the 2006 mayoral race. McIntyre had served as mayor for the previous 10 years. He is currently a city alderman.
