Murphy says Packers to retire Favre's number
MILWAUKEE (AP) - The president and chief executive officer of the Green Bay Packers says the team plans to retire Brett Favre's number during this coming season.
Mark Murphy says he had a preliminary discussion with Favre, and that both Favre and the organization agreed that his number four would be retired during the 2008 season.
Murphy says a decision on when to do it will be made after the schedule comes out.

Glad to see the Packers didn't dilly dally around with this number retirement like they did with Paul Hornung's number. It has to be retired during the Bear game doesn't it though? He haunted that team for the vast majority of his career.
