JANESVILLE—Negotiators for the Janesville School Board and teachers were still bargaining at 8:30 p.m. today, well past their scheduled time.

Negotiators for the teachers, who appeared to be waiting for the other side to finish caucusing tonight at the Educational Services Center, would not comment.

Negotiators bargained all day Saturday in an effort to reach a settlement on the 2007-09 contract. They resumed talks at noon today. They had expected to wrap up sometime after 5 p.m., but talks continued.

Dave Parr, co-lead negotiator for the teachers, said both sides had agreed not to comment at this time.
