MILTON TOWNSHIP--A man has been transported to Edgerton Hospital after he jumped in the Rock River following a crash at the 162 mile marker on Interstate 90/39 around 10 a.m. today.

The Wisconsin State Patrol is investigating the crash, and no information is available at this time.

Dispatchers reported the car was on fire. It was 100 yards above the river on the bridge south of the Newville exit.

A passer-by pulled the victim from the river using jumper cables, dispatchers reported.

Someone better look at the township maps again. The interstate bridge is not in Milton Twsp. It is in Fulton Twnsp.

So tink, you're suggesting that the Gazette should have sat on this story until the investigation was complete? It was posted just two hours after the incident.
