CLINTON--The Clinton School Board on Tuesday voted to keep working on a proposed November referendum.

Staff and the architects are still crunching numbers, but news was good for taxpayers Tuesday night.

If the district chooses to install geothermal energy at Clinton Elementary, 301 East St., Clinton, it will be cheaper than previously thought.

And designers might have found a solution that corrects some of the chaos in the parking lot before and after school at Clinton Elementary.

The district is considering upgrades and expansion to the elementary school and security upgrades to Clinton middle and high schools. A facilities committee has recommended an $8.1 million option.
