DETROIT (AP) - A key auto parts supplier says it will resume talks tomorrow with striking members of the United Auto Workers.

Workers at American Axle and Manufacturing Holdings Inc. went on strike February 26th.

The strike has caused General Motors Corp. to announce it would temporarily close six plants, plus another one that makes Hummer vehicles for the automaker.

American Axle spokeswoman Renee Rogers said in a statement yesterday that talks will resume at noon tomorrow.

The GM factory closures affect more than 15,000 workers, many of whom are on layoff.

About 3,600 UAW workers at five American Axle plants in Michigan and New York are on strike in a dispute mainly over wages.

Production employees in Janesville will be working a shorter shift next week because of the strike.
