Tickets remain for Packers Family Night
GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- The Green Bay Packers' annual Family Night still has more than 6,000 tickets remaining after selling out quickly the previous four years.
Spokesman Aaron Popkey says the festivities are on Aug. 3, a Sunday night that was necessary because the Packers' first preseason game is Aug. 11.
The event typically is held on Saturday night, but it could not be worked around since camp is not allowed to begin until July 28.
The all-day event concludes with Packers on-field drills, a scrimmage and a fireworks show.
Popkey says he hasn't heard specific complaints that there are less fans because Brett Favre has retired, but people are interested in seeing new starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

With all of the chatter indicating a possible return, I wonder how many tickets were available on Wednesday morning vs. Wednesday evening after the "news" was peppered throughout the sports media......
.
I hadn't planned on going, but with the "news", I purchased tickets.

I would love to go, but apparently we are moving to Michigan next week. We will be taking our Love of the Packers with us! :)

Sunday Night? I think that plays a major factor in fan turnout.
I am not going this year because it's on a Sunday night. If I lived within an hours drive from Green Bay, it could be different, but someone else can have the privelidge of visiting the "Holy Land".
Driving from Rock County, it maybe worth taking the following Monday off, or going to working on a few hours sleep for a regular season game, or maybe even a "good" preseason game...but for a practice??? The fire works afterwards aren't that great.

We don't have the same desire as years past to go with out Brett there. It won't be the same.
