MILTON TOWNSHIP—An Edgerton man was admitted to University Hospital, Madison, Sunday night after a motorcycle crash.

Todd A. Simmons, 55, was turning right from County N onto Highway 59 when he lost control of his 2002 Harley Davidson and was ejected, according to a news release from the Rock County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies found Simmons unconscious and breathing at 8:51 p.m. in the westbound lane of Highway 59 about three miles west of the city of Milton.

Simmons was wearing safety glasses but not a helmet, according to the release.

The investigation is ongoing. Speed, alcohol and weather conditions were contributing factors to the crash.

Milton Fire and EMS, Janesville Paramedics and Med Flight also responded to the scene.

J.S. You should go to carepages.com & set up a page for your dad. It was a great help to me when my husband had his accident. It eliminates a lot of phone calls & emails. We're all praying for him. This is so tragic my heart goes out to you & gma Elaine & Traci.
Sincerely, B.S from Friendship.

Ask11 you need to seriously shut your mouth. I hope your comment makes you sleep well tonight knowing I'll be sittin up another night with my dad in a coma and possibly never waking up. He wasn't going very fast and didnt have much to drink. It was more so the wet pavement. Speed would have caused road rash and lookin at him even the dr's agreed that neither he or the bike slid more than 10 or 15 feet before stopping completely. Thank you for prayers the rest of you.

questions~ It doesn't say he was stopped. It says he was turning right off of County N onto 59. The more appropriate assumption would be that he ran the stop sign.

mymaro...I must inform you that I am not a crotch rocket rider, just your average motorist. You must have been one of those HD folks I seen sitting between Fins and Snuffys, pretty close to were this accident took place. In fact I may have seen you at Snuffys!!! Drink hard and live short!!

I must be missing something in this article, how can speed be a factor when you are stopped on county N at the intersection turning right onto HWY 59 heading towards Newville?

enufsaid: I do wish the gentleman the best and hope he recovers fast. I have just had many experiences with situations like this and they are ALL Harley riders.

ask11...Your post was a little abrasive. Then, I took a look at your previous posts and realized that this is your wonderfully positive, non-judgemental personality. Someday...it will come back to bite you!

I hope that he will be okay for the sake of his young daughter. Todd is a good guy and enjoyed life to the fullest, maybe too much at times. I send good thoughts to his family and to Ellen. I wish him all the best and hope that he is well, soon!
