Clinton Fire Department and four other departments responded to a basement fire at 427 Wagner Drive, Clinton.

The call came in just before 8 a.m., according to Jeff London, Clinton Fire Department deputy chief.

The incident was described as a “basement fire,” and was out within 10 to 15 minutes.

Firefighters are continuing to check the structure for hot spots.

It appears that the owner was at home at the time of the fire, but no one was injured.
