I-94 westbound being closed
JOHNSON CREEK -- The westbound lanes of Interstate 94 between Highway 26 at Johnson Creek and Highway 89 at Lake Mills are being closed, officials announced.
Travelers are asked to be ready for slow traffic. They are asked to take an alternate route if possible.
High water on the Crawfish River is hitting the I-94 bridge, prompting the closure, according to a news release from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office. A previous announcement incorrectly stated that it was the Rock River.
Westbound traffic will be routed on Highway 26 south and then west on County B and County V and then Highway 89 back to I-94.

They are not worried about the weight. They are worried the water will lift the deck off. That is why they were parking dump trucks full of sand on the bridge before.

Has the traffic been cut off from the over pass yet? That is a lot of weight to be on a bridge that is known to be a possible threat with the high waters!
