Nearly 50 people gathered at Milton City Hall this afternoon for a DNR hearing concerning United Ethanol.

The hearing involved a request from United Ethanol to install a new piece of equipment. The company says the new equipment will address noise complaints and permit violations at the plant.

The audience included plant neighbors, Milton City Council members, Milton Town Board members and United Ethanol CEO and President David Cramer.

The DNR must issue its decision on the request in the next two months.

I do believe they mean "violations of the per'mit", not "permit' (allow) violations", but it does read funny. I spotted that also, and, for a written article, maybe could have been worded differently. Kind of reminded me of the old "Eats, shoots, and leaves" joke.
