The left lane of Interstate 39/90 southbound, between Highways 59 and 73 near Edgerton in Rock County, remains closed after pavement crumbled there.

The lane will remain closed today while the Rock County Highway Department makes repairs, according to a spokesman from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.

Severe traffic delays occurred last night after 6 p.m. Traffic was flowing smoothly at 7 a.m. today but expected to slow again, and even back up later today, when traffic flow gets heavier.

That is very true from all of You ! The other drivers should leave them out there when they don't know enough to Merge before the end of the Lane . Knowing them, they just merge to the left without even looking and the Driver in that lane has to either hit the brakes and let them in or have an accident .

If only people would merge when they are told to it wouldn't back up so badly. I think they give you 2 or 3 signs telling you to merge well before the lane actually narrows to one. The problem lies with the idiots that need to get past more people before they merge.
