I guess I also forgot to ask you how many resources do you think the state should have allocated to this?? They were dealing with an accident. Do you honestly believe they had enough resources in the area to stop all the idiots that wanted to turn around illegally? You are probably the same person that wants more but complains about taxes.

Ealing: I drive the road every day of the week from Janesville to Madison. I know what I-90 is like when the roads are bad or there is an accident. There is only so much that can be done to transfer traffic flow. How many miles are between the two exits where this ocurred, 5 or 6??? I don't know but I know that they are not just going to flip traffic around through the median to the other side.
As I read your post I thought " there is a suprise, another person out there complaining about the system but they had nothing constructive to offer, just complaining". I'd really like to see how well you would do to fix this situation.

It is not about my "precious" 1.5 hours as you put it! It is about the state patrol NOT doing its job. If you weren't there WHAT do you know?

Ealing: There was an accident that was under investigation where the man actually died. Shutting down the interstate to complete the investigation is more important than your precious 1.5 hours. Maybe they could have directed flow off the interstate at an ealier exit but that exit was a few miles back.

The area just is not used to this type of incident.

Backup - no alternative route. No crap. I was sitting on the interstate for over 1.5 hours. Again the state patrol is not ready to deal with a shut down interstate. There were people cutting through the grass to go the other way and when we called 911 they did not care. More accidents could have occurred. State patrol get your act together!!!
