Accidents clog Interstate

JANESVILLE

Northbound traffic on Interstate 90/39 was backing up north of and into Janesville between 5:35 and 6 p.m. Sunday because of a motorcycle accident.

The accident occurred at 5:31 p.m. near the rest stop between Janesville and Milton. The Janesville Fire Department transported at least one injured person from the scene.

Northbound traffic was restricted to one lane. The State Patrol reported at 6:15 p.m. that traffic was back to normal summer weekend flow.

No further details were available.

At 12:19 p.m. Sunday, southbound traffic was backed up in both lanes starting just south of Edgerton after gusty winds blew a camper onto its side.

No one was injured, the State Patrol reported.

Southbound traffic flow was restored at 1:11 p.m., the patrol reported

Looking for anyone that might have been a witness or stopped to help at the scene of the accident on I90/39, Norhtbound that happened on Sunday 7/31 at approx 5:30pm - 6:00pm.....??? Hoping someone has some additional information, no names necessary...Please leave message here....Thank You..

Ihavealife-my friend was in the same back up that you were...she says when she exited at Newville, she could see an accident at the top of the bridge.....

I-90 really needs to be expanded to 3 lanes each direction. The traffic at peak times is crazy.

I drove by the aftermath of the bike accident around 6:15 pm. I took video as I passed. They had a Suzuki bike on a wrecker http://i37.tinypic.com/oawx2h.jpg . Maybe 200 yards down the road there was a black sedan and 2 cop cars. Presumably the black car was somehow involved.
