Janesville's population up slightly in 2007
Janesville added 40 people from 2006 to 2007, according to estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau released today.
The city's population as of July 1, 2007, was 63,012. That's up 3,514 people (5.9 percent) from the official 2000 census figure of 59,498.
Beloit added 367 residents for a total of 36,633. Milton added 70, for 5,756. Edgerton added 75, for 5,244. Evansville added 47, for 4,912.
Rock County as a whole added 1,425 people, for a total of 159,623. Walworth County added 403, for a total of 100,800.
Of the state's 10 largest cities, only Racine lost people. The city lost 191 residents from 2006 to 2007 for a total of 78,805.
The next official census will be taken in 2010.

lets start it off with this... SEABEE: cleaify what your talking about. Do you mean "thugs" as in little middle school and immature high school students and their older siblings, or what? Well last time I checked, most "thugs" were in the age range of 13-22. So unless those "thugs" have enough money for a house, or apartment to rent, I doubt they're the reason for the slight increase in population.

I left JVL a few years ago because it had become WAY over populated!! It take for ever to get down Milton Ave.
