JANESVILLE -- A committee of the Janesville School Board is recommending two applicants to fill two vacant school board seats. The recommended applicants are Gregory Ardrey and Peter D. Severson.

The three-member committee made the recommendation after interviewing all 10 applicants Thursday night.

The board is expected to vote on the recommendations at its July 22 meeting. One of the board's options is to reject one or both of the recommended applicants, said DuWayne Severson, committee chairman and board president. DuWayne is not related to Peter.

If appointed, Ardrey and Peter Severson would serve until next April, when voters would decide who would fill their seats.

Good luck to the two newest (proposed) school board members. Nice to see that process went over so smoothly.

Just curious, why do you say that? I don't know the man, and would like details.

Greg Ardrey will be a great addition to the School Board. Good Choice!
