Two people were injured in an early morning one-vehicle crash on Interstate 90/39 just south Avalon Road, Janesville.

Valdeta Mecollari, 34, Janesville, and a 7-year-old boy from Janesville were taken around 5:30 a.m. to Mercy Hospital by a Janesville Fire Department ambulance.

Mecollari was driving north in the left lane of Interstate 90/39 when she lost control of her vehicle causing it to slide across the median and into the southbound lanes of the Interstate before it rolled over once and came to rest in the ditch.

Other passengers in the vehicle were Celnika Mecollari, 56, Albania, a 6-year-old female from Janesville, and Altin Mecollari, 31, of Janesville.

The Rock County Sheriff’s Department and Janesville Fire Department assisted the Wisconsin State Patrol, which continues to investigate the accident.

She got pretty banged up but will be ok. She's pregnant and the baby is fine, too.

Vicky is the name Valdeta goes by; her American name if you will. Her father, Ray, owned Riverside for years.
